Swear Down, Honest To God, Not Even Messin’…The Scouse Bird Kids Collection Is Here!

Scouse Bird Kids Tees

The city of Liverpool has a flair for fashion of its very own, upping the style stakes constantly, and there’s no denying that Scouse birds are ahead of the curve when it comes to setting trends and looking fabulous. So, it’s no surprise to find that the next generation of little trendsetters are setting new fashion goals across the UK.

Following the success of the Scouse Bird Collection at OBD Clothing, the ever charming and eternally witty Scouse Bird has teamed up with us again to create a cute and sassy range of kids clothing for all little Scousers in the making. The Scouse Bird kids clothing range is packed with style, humour, and a little bit of attitude.

A style highlight of 2018, t-shirts with slogans are everywhere. The Scouse Bird Kids range features fun and quintessentially Scouse phrases, so tiny Scouslings can show their full Scouse status through their slogan tees. Channel that inner Scouser, and choose from great quality hoodies or t-shirts to show whether they’re a ‘Scouse Bird in training’ or that they’re ‘swear down, honest to god, not even messin’’

Available in sizes from 3 months to 13 years, each item is designed with comfort and convenience in mind. With easy access poppers, to make dressing and changing easier for babies and toddlers, and a fashion fit for older children, the Scouse Bird kids range is perfect for children of any age.

Each t-shirt and hoody is made from hard-wearing, washable fabrics that are super soft to the touch so that they last and look great for even longer. Plus, you can also choose from a fabulous selection of shades to match their personality.

The Scouse Bird Kids range is tough enough for rough and tumble in the soft play, comfy enough for sitting in front of Peppa Pig, and stylish enough for everything in between.

Check out the full OBD Collaboration ranges here and check out the Scouse Bird Problems site for an extra helping of Scouse style and sass.

Girl Power: OBD Clothing teams up with Leanne Brown with a new charity collection

When OBD Clothing met Real Housewives of Cheshire, Leanne Brown, and she told us her ideas for a clothing collection that would share an important message, we knew we were on the brink of doing something amazing.

At OBD Clothing we’ve teamed up with the business woman and humanitarian to create a fun yet feisty range of women’s t-shirts and hoodies featuring messages of positivity to empower women, all whilst fundraising for an international women’s charity at the same time. Phew!

The Leanne Brown Collection is the reality TV star’s first collaboration with us, and inspired by her love of fashion and her passion for her cause, Leanne hopes to build confidence in women throughout the UK and Europe through messages of encouragement, as well as donating 30% from each sale from the range to the African charity One Woman At A Time.

We love a good slogan at OBD, so when we saw the opportunity to create stand-out get noticed t-shirts and hoodies for women, we knew we’d found the perfect fit with Leanne. Plus, we get to help achieve her fundraising goals, which are looking set to continue to go from strength to strength.

During a recent trip to Africa, Leanne met women whose lives have been affected by Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), early marriage or poverty in Kenya and Nigeria. Inspired by their stories of survival and the efforts of the charity who transform the lives of these women through education, training and employment, Leanne returned to the UK determined to make a difference herself. That’s when she contacted us.

So, we set to work creating the range, helping Leanne to put all her efforts behind raising awareness for the charity One Woman At A Time. The slogan clothing range is already helping to raise vital funds for much needed resources and support that will help women in Africa to achieve financial independence to open up more options for their future.

Through online sales alone, the collection has so far raised over £500 towards the fundraising target since the launch of the empowerment clothing range in February 2018 at The Botanist in Alderley Edge, Manchester.

From curve hugging tees to a slouchy fit, this collection features a range of casual t-shirts and oversized hoodies, perfect for practicing a bit of girl power and shaking that sass in comfort as well as style. Available in a range of colours, and flattering sizes from 8-28, the Leanne Brown Collection is designed for every body, and definitely fulfils ‘jeans and a nice top’ criteria if you’re heading for drinks with friends.

The collection is proving to be a huge success and also popular with soap stars and bloggers keen to show off the motivational designs on Instagram and Twitter, featuring intentions and inspirational slogans including ‘Anything is Possible’, ‘Be your Own Idol’ and ‘Encourage. Empower. Embrace’.

The Leanne Brown Collection can be found through the OBD Clothing website where 30% of each purchase is automatically donated to women in need throughout African countries. Look great and feel great with meaningful t-shirts and hoodies knowing that you’ve helped to change the lives of others, One Woman At A Time.

The Scouse Bird Collection Has Landed!

It's official! We have teamed up with Iconic Liverpool based blogger Scouse Bird Problems and are bringing you all her wit and memes into a clothing line!
The Scouse Bird Collection, gives women from sizes 8 to 28 the chance to turn heads and raise a smile with some favourite scouse bird slogans including the fabulous “I’m every Scouse Bird, it’s all in me”.
The idea to add some classic SB one liners to a new OBD range, made perfect sense to both women who share a passion to make sassy clothing available to women of all sizes.
Steph Bannister, the woman behind Scouse Bird Problems said: “Much like the slogan on the ‘I’m every Scouse Bird’ t-shirt, I like to think that my blog and my sense of humour is relatable to Scouse girls of ALL shapes and sizes and not just one type of woman. That’s what I love about ODB and how inclusive they are; usually if you’re bigger than a 14 you tend to be forgotten about by the fashion world, particularly when it comes to gym wear and I’m not about that life. I think you should have you cake, eat it, and still be able to go the gym in fun clothing that actually fits the amount of sass in your ass. I’m so proud to be working together."
We are already working on building the range with plans for plenty more this side of Christmas. Check out the collection below.

The Curve Fashion Festival 2017 & Face of OBD Curves

The Curve Fashion Festival 2017

This years Curve Fashion Festival was held at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre on the 9th September and from start to finish it was a fab experience and we can’t to be part of it next year.

Below is a picture of our stand. We have to thank the Celtic Curves girls for doing a photoshoot in our tops so we could use the pictures on the stand! They all look so fab!

On the day we got to meet alot of lovely people and introduce ourselves to people who haven’t heard of  OBD. Our Adele Hello Its Me Jumper went down a storm and sold pretty quickly! If you have one and haven’t already tagged us in a picture then we would love to see you in yours!

On the day we got some great pictures with our slogan boards you can see some below and the rest can be see on our facebook page.

We also got a visit from Sandra from Goggle box who got some pictures with some of our staff and competition winners.

We received some great feedback on the day, with a lot of people asking about vest tops, we are looking into this and will hopefully be able to extend our vest range sizes in the near future. For those that don’t know even though are plus size range is t-shirts and a lot of people find t-shirts too hot to workout in, ours are designed to breathable and any sweat is wicked away before you notice is. They are made from 100% polyester and have tiny little holes in the material which is what makes them great for working out in. We really enjoyed this years fashion festival and we have been really busy since. From the catwalks to the prosecco on tap the day was one day that can’t be missed, bring on 2018!

Face of OBD Curves

As well as having a stand at this years Curve Fashion Festival we also held the final of Face of OBD Curves Competition. We have 3 of our finalists with the top likes on their entry, come along to the festival so we could meet them, give them a model makeover and find out why they should become the Face of OBD Curves. We have to be honest all the girls were so fab it wasn’t an easy decision. Here is our three finalists after we got them in our tops and give them a makeover.

The  day started with pizza and Prosecco for our lovely girls and then once each of them had their hair and makeup done we took pictures of them with our slogan boards, this was to help us see who was most confident and photogenic. Over the day we got to know the girls personally, this was another stage in helping us to decide who should be the face. In the afternoon we then got all the girls on stage and asked them why they think they should become the face of the brand. To us this is very important, we wanted someone who was just as passionate about our brand as us. All the girls gave great speeches which you can watch here.

After much deliberation between quite a few of use we then decided on a winner which was Becca Turner! Check out the action shot of when we announced she won below. You will now see Becca all over our website looking fab in our gym clothes! We recently did a shoot with her and she worked so hard and we couldn’t be happier with her being the face of our brand.

We really enjoyed running this competition this year and getting to know some fab people and can’t wait to run the same competition next year.

#BEESTRONG – Support Manchester

OBD Clothing Manchester Bee Product #BEESTRONG photo-02-min

We’re a born and bred Mancunian brand and we are so very proud of how Manchester stood up and supported each other after the recent terrible attack. The strength, community and power of the people we call neighbours came together that night and ever since to show how strong and resilient we are. Because of that, we wanted to show our support for our hometown and help those affected by the tragedy. We want everyone to make a statement, stand up for what’s right and #BEESTRONG.

We have designed a #BEESTRONG collection to support the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund. Charity Registration no. 220949 (England and Wales) and SC037738 (Scotland). Each top is made to order and £4.00 from each sale will go to the charity.

The #BEESTRONG design is available in a women’s vest top (size 10-16) and is made from 100% pure cotton. It contours to the body and is available in black or white along with the slogan available in a variety of colours.

We’ve also designed a #BEESTRONG unisex t-shirt for men and women (Size Small – 5XL). With a taped neck and shoulders along with being quarter-turned to eliminate crease. This is also available in black and white.

The Bee has become the symbol of Manchester. It’s always represented the hard work of Mancunians. During the industrial revolution, textile mills were described as hives of activity and the workers inside them compared to bees. Now the emblem means so much more and we’re proud to include it in our design. We didn’t want to just watch people support Manchester, we actively wanted to support and get involved.

We’d love you to support the charity and to make it even easier for you; we’re offering £1.00 delivery on all Manchester Bee products with code “BEESTRONG”

Thanks for your support. Manchester we love you.
